Jesus lived and spoke words about the Divine Loving Creator, and His Divine Love, that brings our Souls in Spirit alive nearly 2,000 years ago. They were initially handed on verbally, until the various sayings and teachings were gathered together by four writers and written down in Greek, approximately 60 to 90 years after His death. These are the Gospels. All scholars agree, that over time, some variations have crept in amongst the original words written down. This is easily seen, when comparing the oldest surviving Gospel documents available, and noticing variations about the same teaching.
However, if anyone really knows Jesus and the Divine Loving Creator as being Divine Love, they can discern the Truth amongst any unintentional, inaccurate translations from the Greek. These can naturally creep in over time as scribes made copies of copies. A linear bible is very helpful for any Christian, in seeing the possibilities of the variations available from the Greek words. We all have a personal responsibility, to examine the teachings of Jesus for ourselves. Other followers we know, can share their understandings with us, and they may contribute to deepening our own understanding. But we must remain true to our own convictions, when standing up for Jesus and the Divine Loving Creator. We will all be in the presence of the Divine Creator after life, and we must represent Him here on Earth, as best we know how.
Obviously, this also means representing the Spiritual Way of Jesus, and the meaning of His teachings, as best we know how, by living our life out of them. This is where translation, interpretational corrections, can help remove misunderstandings, clarify His teachings, and reveal the profound message they hold, for our Souls in Spirit, concerning Divine Love.
This is an example from the Gospel of Luke 22:35-38 about the two swords offered to Jesus by a disciple. Anyone who truly knows Jesus, realises these words should not be taken literally, but unfortunately, many followers of Jesus do. However these words when seen through Divine Love can become much clearer, and remain as a support for all His other teachings on the Spirit of Divine Love within us.
I pray my own interpretations, stimulate other followers, to at least examine these difficult sayings of Jesus more closely, for your own benefit. May we all find the message of Divine Love, from the Divine Loving Creator, in the words of Jesus, His Divine child.
